One reason why deep sea oil drilling is an important issue
Deep sea oil is an important issue because we have lots of things that made from oil, and some of these are the things that we are using everyday, for example plastics and petrol. This means that we are using it very fast, so it will run out one day because there is a limited supply. Therefore, we need to keep looking for new supplies of oil, or find a replacement.
Another reason why deep sea oil drilling is an important issue.
Another reason deep sea oil is an important issue is that if there is a problem, we can’t fix it easily. Drilling in deep water is dangerous because a spill could devastate the environment, like in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. New Zealand doesn’t have the equipment or the money to clean up such a disaster, and this would have a negative effect on our wildlife and tourism industry.
